Set up Uregistry and file your first accounts

Uregistry is an MCP server. You add it once as a connector to your AI assistant and then work in the chat. This guide shows the setup for Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code, and the way to the upload.

What you need

An AI assistant that can connect remote MCP servers, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Your annual accounts as PDF, Word or Excel. And for the upload an account on the Publikations-Plattform with a one-time identification; you can do that in parallel.

Uregistry is for businesses, not consumers. In the closed beta the first 50 sign-ups get access at once; later ones go on a waitlist.

This is the connector address. You need it on every route below.

In Claude (claude.ai and desktop app)

On Free, Pro and Max you add the connector yourself. Labels depend on your language setting and may change with new versions.

  1. Open Customize → Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors).
  2. Click "+ Add", then "Add custom connector".
  3. Enter "Uregistry" as the name and https://mcp.uregistry.de/mcp as the URL, then click "Continue".
  4. Keep the default sign-in setting and finish with "Add".
  5. When you connect for the first time, the Uregistry sign-in opens: enter your email, enter the code from the email, accept the terms and allow access.
  6. In a chat, turn Uregistry on via the "+" at the lower left → "Connectors".

The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors; members then connect it under Customize → Connectors with "Connect".

In ChatGPT

Whether your account may add custom MCP servers depends on your plan and workspace settings. In Business and Enterprise workspaces an administrator may have to allow it.

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins and choose "Add" at the top right → "Add custom MCP server".
  2. Enter a name and description, for example "Uregistry" and "Disclosure at the Unternehmensregister".
  3. Under "Connection", enter the address https://mcp.uregistry.de/mcp.
  4. Under "Authentication" choose "OAuth", read the risk notice and tick "I understand and want to continue".
  5. Choose "Create as a plugin"; ChatGPT lists Uregistry's tools.
  6. When you connect for the first time, sign in to Uregistry as described above.
  7. Start a new conversation, type "@" and select Uregistry.

In Claude Code

In Claude Code you add the server in the terminal and then sign in from Claude Code. The XML file and the preview end up as files in your project folder.

Then start Claude Code, type /mcp and follow the sign-in in the browser.

Transfer your first accounts

Start a conversation, attach the signed annual accounts and write something like: "Please use Uregistry to prepare the disclosure of our 2025 annual accounts." If balance sheet, notes and management report are separate files, attach them all.

  1. The assistant asks for legal form, fiscal year and size figures. Uregistry shows the thresholds and required parts with their sections of the HGB. You confirm the size class and whether you publish or deposit, yourself or with your tax adviser.
  2. The assistant shows which pages it will take over. Check that everything is there, and nothing that should not be published.
  3. It transfers the accounts section by section. Uregistry checks each one formally; the assistant fixes errors and checks again. Values it was unsure about are highlighted.
  4. At the end a card with the preview appears. Compare it line by line with the signed accounts, especially every figure, then save the file.

The preview is not official, but it is the only one before publication: the Publikations-Plattform sends no proof copy.

Upload on the Publikations-Plattform

Once, you register on publikations-plattform.de, add the company and identify yourself: via the tax adviser platform (€7.60), with the online ID card (€12) or by video (€22).

  1. Sign in and start the order: "Veröffentlichen im Unternehmensregister" or, for micro companies only, "Hinterlegen im Unternehmensregister".
  2. Choose Rechnungslegung → Jahresabschluss, then company and fiscal year.
  3. For a deposit, confirm that the company meets the micro criteria.
  4. Upload the XML file. If the platform reports an error, give the text to your assistant; it fixes it and builds the file again.
  5. Choose the contact person and click "Zahlungspflichtig beauftragen". The status is under Meine Daten → Aufträge.

Once published, nothing can be withdrawn; mistakes can only be fixed with a new, paid correction order. Uregistry checks form, not substance, and gives no tax or legal advice.
